   This kit simply works as you can see on the video. Was skeptical and so was my spouse but he said alright there is this red spot that never went away on my dear car front side bumper, let’s give this a shot. It felt like doing an advert as we were both surprise of the easy and quick results. He had to do it, because no one touches his car. He used the medium clay and a good amount of product, perhaps less would have still worked fine. Inexperience? He was very gentle, which may not be noticeable in the video, so really nearly no pressure was applied and the embedded red mark went off along with other nearby debris. After which the clay was still clear, so would last to process a lot more. After some more research on using clay this way, I consider this set quite great as it come with 3 clay bar of different duty and a great amount of spray. The bottle having its own cap make it easy to store back to ensure it will not leak or evaporate. Meanwhile it also includes a wiping rag. Comparatively it is overall great.

   My son normally takes care of my car, detailing it on a regular basis, he’s away for the next few months so I’m left on my own. When I saw the Magic Shield Clay Bar Kit I thought this would be a good fit for me. I spent about an hour reading the instructions and researching tips. I’m glad I took the time beforehand or I would have been using it on my headlights, which is a no no. I started with a clean car but I had a number of scratches/imperfections that I wanted to try it on. The small section that I used it on it looks great, it worked well. My older model black vehicle’s shine was restored (maybe not to its original glory but pretty close to it). However, it was time consuming with multiple steps and required a constant change of fresh microfiber towels. While I am impressed with the results, I find it time consuming. While a bit pricey it is a product that delivers results and because it is only required a couple of times a year, I think it is a good value. I’ll be leaving the rest of the car for my son to do when he gets back.

   I learned about claying a car a few years ago and I do it to all my cars on an as-needed basis. This kit really helps remove the surface contaminants from the clear-coat and makes the paint smooth and ready to be waxed/polished. This is a good selection of grades of clay and the lubricant is very slippery (to prevent paint damage).

   Magic Shield has been knocking it out of the park with some awesome car detailing products. I loved both their graphene spray coating and their iron remover. This clay bar kit is no different. I assume those who are looking at clay bar kits already know what they are doing but for those who are new, a clay bar is essentially sticky playdoh that lets you gently and easily remove surface contaminants stuck to your car’s paint in a few swipes. As the clay is very tacky, you need to use it with some lubricant (typically quick detailer) so that it can glide back and forth on your paint while it starts grabbing pieces of contaminants off your car. What I love about this kit is that you get 3 different clay bars for different levels of cleaning. There’s a light clay bar for general removal of dust and dirt, a medium clay bar for deeper removal of stuff like brake dust, tree sap and tar, and a heavy duty clay bar for the most stubborn contaminants like industrial fallout and embedded grime. Each claybar are of high quality. There are also huge at 100g each. If you cut it up into smaller portions, each one should last you a few years. Speaking of which, dividing it into smaller sections is a trick I learned over the years. It not only makes the clay easier to mold but there is also less chance of dropping it on the ground because you are able to hold onto it better. Remember that once claybar falls onto the ground, it needs to be thrown out due to all the dirt and debris that will be stuck to it. In terms of value, it is simply unbeatable compared to other kits from Meguiar’s and Mothers. Those kits only come with two smaller clay bars (versus three in this kit) and the same amount of quick detailer. They also lack the variations that’s included with this kit. Another difference is the included microfiber towel that is bigger at 16″ x 16″ from those kits versus the 12″ x 12″ towel from this kit. That said, the one included here is much superior in quality and far softer. Overall, amazing clay bar kit from Magic Shield at a great price. Highly recommended!

   I’ve used the Mothers clay bar kit before, but this time I decided to try something different. This clay bar kit includes more clay bars (3 vs 2) than the Mothers kit at a lower price. I also like that it includes a range from light to heavy clay for different levels of paint correction, while the Mothers kit just includes one general purpose clay. The luber is larger in volume so it should last longer and the microfiber cloth included is good quality. Overall, a good kit that I’m excited to use.

   Full disclaimer here, I haven’t tested this on a car yet, as it’s too cold outside to use (the cold makes it sort of unworkable), however I have tested this on an Olympic recurve bow (that has a similar paint job to a car). It wasn’t very dirty, and had nearly nothing embedded in the paint, but it did show me get a feel for how well the clay bars worked. I’m also not super proficient in cars, and don’t really know how to use a clay bar “properly”, and this is probably my 3-4 time using a clay bar. Just as a note, I tried the complete kit, rather than the triple clay bar pack. So then, what did I think about the kit? I think it works well, and is really easy to use. Well, as easy as any other clay bar I’ve used, and cleans up the surface pretty nicely. It seems to bring out a nice shine, and everything included in the kit So here’s some things I liked about it: -There’s a light medium and heavy clay bar -Seems to bring out a nice shine -Easy to use -Everything for just clay baring is included -The clay bars have protective cases -Each bar is around 100g -The clay glides over the surface pretty nicely with the included lubricant And here’s some things I don’t like about it: -The cloth that’s included is pretty thin, and doesn’t feel all that great -The clay’s working temperature seems to be a little higher (meaning it may need to be a little warmer than other clay bars) I guess the only thing I don’t really like is the cloth, which does seem to be a little on the lighter side. It is super soft, but it just doesn’t exude “premium quality” like one you may just buy on it’s own. I don’t think it’s a deal breaker, it’s still just a cloth after all, but I think I would’ve liked more clay, rather than a cheap cloth. At $40, I think it’s a decent starter kit, and very versatile. What I mean by this is it will work with any paint job, because you have all the weights of clay included. However, if you regularly clay bar your car, I don’t think this is the best value you can get, as on Amazon you can get 3 of the same bar for around $14 (+ $13 for the lubricant is $27 + tax), which is just a better deal than what you get here. That said though, if you’re unsure what will work with your cars paint, this is a good starting place, and I would recommend it.

   This is the third Clay bar kit I’ve used. Compared to others, I like it the best. For around the same price, the other kits I purchased from well known detailing brands only included a single clay bar with a bottle of spray and a microfiber towel. This one includes the same thing plus an additional two clay bars. Not just that.. but the three clay bars included provide you with everything needed should your detailing project require anything from typical and lighter contamination all the way to heavy contamination.. again for the same price. The product works well and is easy to use. Anther thing I found beneficial is that the individual clay bars come in reusable plastic containers that snap shut. Inside of each container the bar itself is wrapped in plastic packaging. I find this a great addition as I had issues with storing the clay from the other brands I tried that ranged from sticking to the container I tried to reuse to simply offering no place to store the clay product period. The issue with this is that, like often recommended, I don’t waste an entire Clay bar on a single use and prefer to cut a piece from it which I use until it cannot be folded to reveal a fresh surface for use any further. That being said, I need a way to store these pieces until I get the use out of them. Leaving then any old place will ruin them as they would pick up any residues they are left in and trying plastic bags ended up with portions of clay becoming stuck to the bag. Offering reusable containers is a huge plus for those who want to be smart and use their products sparingly rather than being wasteful. All in all you get more out of your money with this kit and the nice storage containers I’ve already praised.

Using a clay bar is a great way to remove contaminants from your car paintwork and you can get a good amount of cleaning done with this kit.     This kit is awesome! It includes everything you’ll need to clay-bar your car. The cloth is very soft and the lubricant is also nice, although you have to be generous. I also like that it comes with containers for the clay bars, so that you can preserve them for longer. I had never used a clay bar before and this kit felt like a good way to start. And now that I’ve done it, I think this will become a new seasonal tradition, as my paint has never looked this good! Combining this with a iron particle remover makes it smoother than how it was when brand new! However I would suggest polishing/buffing afterwards, because clay bars can create more swirl marks when improperly used. So if it’s your first time, make sure to be prepared. And always finish with a coating! (Wax or ceramic) Overall I like this kit a lot, it’s very complete and I’d recommend it!

    I had been lax in cleaning my car this past summer and had allowed some heavy contamination to become embedded in the paint. A regular car washing was not enough to clean it and I knew that it would have to be clay barred to remove this heavy contamination. I searched Amazon for a clay bar kit and found this MAGIC SHIELD Clay bar kit and decided to order it. Upon unboxing you are presented with 3 clay bars (light, medium and heavy), bottle of Glidetech Lubricant, spray nozzle and microfiber towel. What really impressed my was that three 100g clay bars are included in this set. Each clay bar comes wrapped in plastic and then in a plastic case to store it. There is a light clay bar for regular upkeep and light oxidation, a medium clay bar for deeper cleaning of such things as brake dust, tree sap and pollen and a heavy clay bar for stubborn contaminants and deeply embedded dirt. I needed to use the heavy clay bar in my case to remove the contaminants from my paint. This kit also includes a 16 oz. bottle of the lubricant that is necessary to use while rubbing the clay bar on the car. Basically if you are new to clay barring you take a small piece of clay and knead it until soft, spray the lubricant on a small portion of the car and using light pressure move the clay piece back and forth over that area until the contaminants are gone. You must also watch the clay bar carefully and fold the clay over onto itself to get a fresh, clean clay surface when it gets dirty. Once you are done that area wipe it clean with a microfiber towel. Keep repeating this on another small section until the entire car is finished. Even though I ordered this kit late in the year and could not use it outside due to the cold weather I was able to clay my car at a friend’s large heated garage. I am very impressed with the quality of this kit and the fact that three 100g clay bars are included. This is enough clay for many, many cleanings. Overall, after some work, I was able to remove all of the heavy contaminants from my paint. After applying a wax when I was done the paint looks as good as new. This Magic Shield kit did a great job and contained everything that I needed to complete the clay bar cleaning. Next year I won’t let the contaminants build up as heavily on my car and will probably only need to do a quick cleaning with the light clay bar. After my personal experience with this set I can highly recommended it. Priced at $36.99 at the time of this review with a coupon available for a $5.00 discount.

    This clay bar kit is amazing. Anyone with a white truck knows how hard it is to keep clean. This kit will get rid of all those nasty containments that live on your paint surface. The kid includes 3 clay bars, a bottle of spray line and a towel. Most kits don’t include 3 clay bars. I’ve used some of the top brands and only ever got 2 bars with a kit. The clay bars are light, medium and heavy. Each bar is recommend for various levels of contaminants. I would recommend the light bar for quick upkeep. The medium and heavy would be used if you paint has some nasty buildup. I gave my truck a good wash and then a full clay bar with this kit. It turned out beautiful. It easily removed the brake spots on my white paint. The clay bar glides super smooth when using the provided lube. It does take some time and effort to do a proper clay bar job but in the end it’s worth it. Your paint surface will be super smooth and shiny. After I had removed all the contaminants on my paint I applied a quality wax that will protect my paint over the winter months. This kit should last several applications. I plan to clay bar my truck again when spring arrives and get it looking fresh and shiny again. Very impressed with this kit. For what’s included I feel this is a great value and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys keeping their vehicles clean.

    I have a 2023 car so obviously the paint is in pretty good shape. I decided to try it on my wife VW that is a bit older and could get some improvement on the paint finish. You get 3 different clay bars in the kit, for light medium or heavy paint contamination. You also get a spray lubricant and a microfiber cloth to buff everything. I tried the light clay on a door panel. This is very easy to use and I made sure the clay was up to room temperature before using it since it was pretty cold outside. It stayed soft and with the lubricant, you simply glide it gently on the car surface. I only did a small area because I was short on time but the difference with the other panels was outstanding. You can feel that the paint is so smooth after it is even better than the paint when you receive the car brand new. After this simply apply your favorite wax or sealant and you are good to go !!

    I have used clay bars in the past to clean stubborn stains and debris on my cars. What I like about this set is that it comes with 3 different types of clay so you can choose what strength you need depending on the type and stubbornness of the material you want to remove. It is very important to use the spray that comes with it to lubricate the surface so that you don’t damage it. You can also use it as a quick detailer when not using the clay bar.     I haven’t used a clay bar on my car before but am excited to try this product out on my car. However have to wait till the summer to use as it’s currently winter and the water hoses are all turned off for the season (instructions say that you have to wash the car before use). I like that the kit comes with everything you need to get started – a spray wash bottle, microfiber cloth and three levels of clays – light, medium and heavy. Each clay is individually wrapped and come with its own case as pictured. Great to keep the clay enclosed and ready for the next use.

    This clay bar kit from Magic Shield will not win any prizes for value even compared to the long established automotive detailing products brand but I find that it will fill a specific niche. The regular price of the item is pretty comparable to Mother’s California Gold Clay Kit–though Magic Shield comes with one extra clay bar. The niche it fills though is the fact that it has three different equivalent grits rather than multiples of the same grit. This means that it is can be a bit more specialized, but it also is nice to have something that is more appropriate for each types of task at hand–general clay bar vs. cleaning brake dust is a whole different ball game for instance! The spray also helps pretty well for lubricating the clay barring operation. So overall I found this to be a good kit to have. One thing to note is that it is great to have little boxes for each clay bar, that are identified in different colors both on the box and the clay bar’s color itself. It’s important to note that the boxes themselves do not have gasket so they aren’t air tight–how to store clay bars is still somewhat up for debate but many like myself like to keep them in a ziplock bag in case and I would recommend this too with this product, though at least you have a box to bag it in; keeps the clay from sticking to the bag itself. Overall I think this is an interesting kit and of pretty good quality. Once again, it is a little more niche or specialized than your conventional well-established and well-regarded clay bar products on the market, so the value proposition can be a hit or miss depending on your needs… I find it to be a lovely set though.

    My husband is a car guy so has used a number of car cleaning products over the year He said this one is especially good – he was surprised what a great job it did with less elbow grease required than has often been the case. The different bars can be broken into pieces so that you can use just enough without dirtying the rest of the bar He used some of each of the light medium and heavy bars in cleaning both my car and his, depending upon how much dirt was in the given area. He’s really happy with how easy it was, I am really happy with how clean my car is! That it was so easy means he’ll probably be cleaning our cars more often 🙂

    I got this clay bar kit to clean up my sports car. It has been neglected over Covid and needed to get allot of grime off of the paint. It’s getting cold fast here so I was only able to clean one fender before they salted the roads. Pros: 1. Nice mix of clay bars to get your car shinning like new 2. Worked well, the spray was fantastic Cons: 1. Cloth was not great, I used one of my own Over all, it did a good job restoring my fender to its previous glory, no more cloudy residue on it. I had to apply heat to the car to get them to rub well, I suggest using these in the summer, or a heated garage.

    Used these to remove hard water spot on my brand new Prius. I can say I probably trust clay vs a clay mitt as these were very soft to prevent swirl marks. As i swiped with the orange/soft clay using the provided lubricant, I was surprised just how citrus fragrant this stuff was. I don’t mind that at all but I can’t speak for others. The soft bar did help remove and fade the marks from my car, but not completely. I’m little uncomfortable (unskilled) using the harder bars on the body, but I figure these will be perfect for the glass. Big tip! When you open one bar and take a piece, place the rest in a Ziploc baggy so the rest doesn’t dry up! Also don’t skimp on the lubricant! Soak both the clay and the surface up like heck so you have no or reduced swirl marks!

    I’ve always been intimidated by the thoughts of using clay bars on car finishes. Now that my vehicles are older, I thought it was time to take the plunge. This kit contains three different clay bars for various degrees of contamination. Still not sure how to determine the level of contamination and which bar to use, will just experiment. Having the separate storage boxes for the clay bars is a nice touch as well as the microfiber cloth- even though I have plenty. The spray is used to soften and make the bar easier to use on the surface. Admittedly, it is a bit cold now for me to use this outdoors or in an unheated garage. Will update after it warms up a bit.

    This is a very good claybar. I have recently started to get into car detailing and have watched many videos on YouTube on proper car maintenance and all that. Make sure to read the instructions and maybe watch a few videos to familiarize yourself with proper claybaring and always make sure to use lubricant and keep it that way while using the clay. You get three different clays.

    I am using a clay bar almost every time that I hand wash my car by now. It’s fast, convenient and the results are amazing! Back in the day you had to use a polishing compound to remove some of the tar, tree sap or other impurities that are attached to the paint firmly. This Magic Shield clay bar kit has everything you need to make this job easy and fun. What’s especially great is that it comes with three different grades of clay bars (light, medium, heavy) and a description on each box for what type of contamination each bar is best suited for. The only thing that’s probably gonna happen though is that you’ll run out of lubricant spray before the bars are used up, but luckily you can get the spray separately.

    I recently used the Magic Shield Clay Bar and GlideTech Lubricant Sprayant on my black Ford Expedition and was really happy with how well they worked. The clay bars were great at getting rid of all the dirt and grime on my car, making it look shiny and new. The best part is that the set comes with four clay bars, which is a lot compared to other brands that only give you one for the same price. The clay bars also come in their own plastic containers, which is super convenient for storing them after use. This is a big plus because it keeps the clay clean and ready for the next use. The GlideTech Lubricant Sprayant made the whole process easier too, helping the clay bar slide over the car’s surface smoothly. In short, this product is fantastic for anyone who wants to make their car look like it just came out of a showroom. It’s easy to use and really effective, making it a great choice for keeping your vehicle looking its best.

    The description claims it has 3 different bars for varying degrees of contamination on the paint. I have no experience with clay, but I can understand why you would need the different texture. Each of the bars has its own storage and there is plenty of the liquid to make this kit work for a while. I have not been able to use it yet, but now am excited to try this out with a kit that makes this look manageable even for a clay-novice like me!

    I’m surprised by whats included in this kit. Usually you have to shell out a bit more to get all the varieties of clay bar. You can use the included spray lube or what I often use in conjunction is ONR. This kit includes everything and they start you off with the Light Clay Bar, they also have Medium and Heavy. This is for the different types of decon whether you’re working with contaminants that are hard to remove or just doing a gentle maintenance. You’ll often want to accompany this with polishing and waxing after wards because even doing clay bar can leave some abrasion and marring so use clay bar with caution or do a lot of research before hand. ✓ Everything included, 3 levels of clay bar, lubricant, and a wiping microfiber ☐ Spray bottle may need a little QA because using mist mode it was spraying sideways

Even greater when you can get them together. My car shines when I use all the products. Great value for the money. I must say, I’m impressed.     I’ve used clay bars in the past, and you were lucky if the package included half of this one. There is a shammy, the lubricating liquid, and 3 different types of clay bars. The bars included are for light, medium and heavy types of uses. I used them on my car and found out the lubricating liquid was great, and the clay bars picked up a lot of contaminants. I used the light and medium on the body where there was less dirt, and the heavy one for the front of the hood and the sides. They all worked very well, removed a lot and I still have plenty for future applications. I would most definitely recommend it.

    I have a lot of my friends ask why I bother clay barring my car…. answer is simple: 1) It does not take long 2) It helps smooth out imperfections in the paint 3) It’s the best and easiest way to get tar, rust particles. and stuck-on stains off your car … and because of the above, waxing my car is much much easier. This kit comes with everything you need, the spray works really well, meaning that it is very slippery and better than using soapy water. The three clay bars are actually very smart too as I used the heavy bar on the front and rear of my car, the medium on the hood and roof, and then the light on the sides. Worked out perfect – seems like a lot of work but it goes by fast if done right. Make sure you research and learn how to use a clay bar kit properly and don’t drop your clay bar on the ground! Recommended, this is a good kit, and good value with the three bars + spray + a good quality cloth.,

    Good price for 40$ I’ve used the Mothers clay bar kit before, but this time I decided to try something different. This clay bar kit includes more clay bars (3 vs 2) than the Mothers kit at a lower price. I also like that it includes a range from light to heavy clay for different levels of paint correction, while the Mothers kit just includes one general purpose clay. The luber is larger in volume so it should last longer and the microfiber cloth included is good quality. Overall, a good kit that I’m excited to use.

    I have never used a clay bar before and I was really looking forward to trying this out. Unfortunately I didn’t read through the whole product listing to see that you need to wash your car first. Having received this late in the season, it was too cold to wash the car properly. I am looking forward to using it in the spring and will update my review at that time. I have a black car and park underneath a maple tree so between the leaves, the sap and the birds, my car’s paint job takes alot of abuse and I haven’t been good about cleaning it because the assault on it seems to never stop. I had been hoping to use this to clean it after the leaves had all fallen but by then it was too cold. In the kit, you get three clay bar, a spray bottle of Magic Shield Glidetech Lubricant and a microfiber cloth. The three clay bars come individually wrapped and in resealable plastic containers. They come in light, medium and heavy. Each package tells you what to use it for. For example, the medium clay bar is suggested for tree sap among other things. This is helpful for a newbie like me. The microfiber cloth isn’t the best quality but then I have others at home that I can use. Overall, I think this is a good kit for a beginner starting out with clay bars as you get light, medium and heavy bars.

    This kit has everything I needed to clay bar the outside of my car. This was my first foray into the world of using a clay bar to auto detail, and I have to say, I’m impressed. It’s physically easy, but time consuming, because it’s all done by hand. But the results – wow. The time investment is definitely worth it for the results. Step one is to wash the car, to eliminate the bulk of the mess/grit. Then, spray the included lubricant onto the car, and rub over it with a clay bar. There are 3 bars of varying “strengths”. I just have an SUV that does city driving, not super dirty, so I used the lightest bar. It worked really well and removed the stuff that the initial car wash didn’t (bits of dried on bug, sap, and tar). The clay bar picks up all of the “junk” that’s otherwise stuck on the car, without scratching the paint. It’s actually pretty amazing (and satisfying) to watch. I ripped off a piece about 1/8 the size of the bar, and it was sufficient to do the entire car. I threw it away after using it, as it was full of the grit and tar that it took off of my car. The last step, after the car has been clay barred, is to wipe it with the included microfiber cloth – and then step back to admire your handy work! I was really impressed by how clean this kit got my car. The clay really takes EVERYTHING off of the paint – even old tar – and leaves the car sparkly clean. It didn’t scratch the paint at all. I was impressed at how the bar cleaned not only the paint, but also all of the plastic components of the car. Normally the plastic bits are left streaky after a wash, but not after the clay bar. The clay bar leaves them immaculate. It takes a bit of time to clay bar the whole car, but it’s not physically demanding and didn’t require any elbow grease. Using this clay bar got my car much, much cleaner than a regular car wash – it sure is efficient.

    I have some mixed feelings about the Magic Shield clay bar kit. Pros: +3 different types of clay bars to choose from depending on the need of your clear coat. +Good clay lube +While using clay bars they are wonderful Negatives: -Clay lubricant smell seems to linger. It doesn’t smell bad, just takes awhile to go away -I hate that the clay bars are “one and done”. Every clay bar I ever used before can be reused or at least set aside for a short break. I shut one back in the container for half an hour before I came back to it. It dried so badly to the plastic that it ripped apart.

    I like to do a thorough car detailing on the exterior of my car at least 3 times a year. Spring-Summer-Fall. I have used a variety of clay gloves and clay sponges from different brands so I have a general idea of what to expect. In this Magic Shield Clay Bar kit, it marks the first time I have a choice of clay levels to choose based on much contamination you may have on the clearcoat. Not knowing what to expect, I chose the medium clay bar and went to work. I will admit, using actual clay molded in your fingers is very slow and methodical. You have to work in sections and keep misting the area with the lubricants. You will know immediately when to stop claying an area as soon as your clay is gliding smoothly across. I was able to finish claying my entire hood in 12 minutes. There is a lot of area to cover. Always remember that once you clay, you must apply a form of wax. I like wet wax as the car is already wet after washing down the claying. I do like the smoothness of the car’s clearcoat; the mirror-like finish; and how water beads off. This is an excellent clay kit. Just know it requires patience and follow each step. Always clay with extra lubricants. 4.5 Stars!
